OLD HABITS

It's curious, when you think of it
why men, still on the sidewalk spit,
when their hair's been permed,
eyes with contacts lensed,
and their bodies with musk
so thoroughly cleansed.

Let's hope that we females
in our liberation
never take up this habit
of expectoration!!

ROLLING HOME

From birth to death
we bobble along
on life's conveyor belt
like so many hapless confections
at the chocolate factory,

except in our case,
there is no Lucille Ball
to catch us
at the end.
